CORO
EUROPAE CANTORES

Siamo lieti di annunciare il nostro concerto di Natale che si terrà nella chiesa Ss. Pietro e Paolo di Brebbia il 19 dicembre alle 21:00.

The choir Europae Cantores formed as association in 1984, making its name more distinctive by the participation of choristers from various European countries, linked by artistic and cultural interests.

The aim of the choir is twofold: the desire to unite through the cultural diversity of the European countries and the intention to spread the European music tradition in the territory of Varese, offering works of fundamental musical value, some unknown to the general public and performed in the original language.

With this intent, the choir presented for the first time in the province of Varese "Die Shöpfung" (the Creation) by J. Haydn in June 2006 and 'The Armed Man : A Mass of Peace' by Karl Jenkins in 2008, for which the President of the Italian Republic acknowledged the title of "Ambassadors of Italy for Peace".

Since 2007, the choir has been part of the Union of Italian Coral Societies (regional branch of Lombardia) and is recognized as a Cultural Club by the European Commission Joint Research Center (Ispra site, Varese).
